The Perfect Mother's Day Tradition
What better way to celebrate motherhood, than creating memories to last a lifetime with a MAMA & ME portrait session.  Life with kids can be noisy, sticky and unpredictable not to mention busy, Busy, BUSY.  Mom's are so often the photo journalists in the family.  Mom - when was the last time you had a beautiful series of photographs of you with your child or children?

It's the tender sweet moments, the laughter and snuggles we want to remember as moms.  They're gonna grow up fast and trust me ~ you're gonna wish you could go back and savor these moments. Forget about your hair, your wardrobe and your weight.  Your children love you just the way you are.  Now is the time to invest in memories that capture "What I Love About You" with your kids.

Mother's Day is the perfect time for a Mom & child portrait and a new annual tradition. Visit our website for more information. Book a Session Today!

On Exhibit April 6 - May 23, 2017; Opening reception Friday, April 7, 2017 7-9pm

First Street Gallery welcomes The Jacksonville Artists Guild for a juried exhibition of beach related art.  The Jacksonville Artists Guild is dedicated to elevating artistic awareness and participation by artists through dynamic programs and exhibitions that enhance, encourage and promote the arts.  The Guild was the legacy of well known and respected artist, Christine Schmidt (1922-2009).  In the fall of 2009 Carole Mehrtens and Bill Schmidt approached Jon Coffee, the Rector at Mark's Episcopal Church, with the idea of creating an artists guild.  He was immediately enthusiastic and supportive to fulfill Christine's long time desire to establish an artists guild for Jacksonville to encourage and support area artists and those interested in art appreciation.  The first formal meeting of the Jacksonville Artists Guild was held on October  9, 2009.  The group continues to meet monthly on the first Monday of the month often highlighting workshops or guest speakers.  Their community outreach include past projects with Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens, Angels for Allison, No More Homeless Pets, The Garden Club of Jacksonville and yearly exhibits with the Riverside Avondale Preservation Home Tour.   For more information about Jacksonville Artists Guild, please view their website www.jacksonvilleartistsguild.org

Located in Beaches Town Center, and a designated Curb Crew viewing location, Southern Grounds will also donate 10% of sales the day of the marathon until noon, as well. Share your Christmas wish list and have a photo taken.

In 2003, the businesses at 200 First Street decided to sponsor `"Santa in the Courtyard", an opportunity for children and families to share their Christmas wish list and have a photo taken.  Local teenagers volunteered to take photos and a local Atlantic Beach resident, Tom Trechel, grew his beard out in the fall and became Santa Claus each year, finally buying his own Santa Suit. “It has become an annual tradition for my family, as well as many beaches families and my kids truly believe this is the ‘real’ Santa”, said Neptune Beach resident,
