Once again, 200 First Street sponsors the kid zone!
The Kid Zone has expanded…so there will be a bit more room to mingle with friends!
NEW this year: a mechanical bull, for all ages! And a true carnival treat: a high striker…you know the ones… for over a century, men at county and state fairs across America have tested their he-man strength with High Striker. Sometimes they compete for a stuffed doll for their gal, and sometimes the prize is the manly pride of beating their buddies.
May 23 – July 1st, 2013 – Opening reception Friday, May 24th 7-9pm.
National, Regional and First Street Gallery artists create Sea Turtle themed artwork in clay, photography, metal, glass and jewelry with a portion of the proceeds from all Sea Turtle art work donated to the Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol. Lots of favorites from previous shows along with many new artists are this year’s contributors – Last year First Street Gallery artists raised close to $600 to donate to their favorite local charity – Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol.
Jacksonville artists Lucy Clark and Terese Muller collaborate together in bringing Metamorphosis of Clay and Color to First Street Gallery. The show runs from April 10 through May 21 with an opening reception and an opportunity to meet both the artists on Friday, April 12th 7-9pm.
Lucy Clark came to the art form of building clay vessels later in life. After working as a massage therapist for over 20 years, she touched clay and everything changed.
