First Street Gallery artists Pat Livesay (silver jewelry) and Tyler Dominey (stainless steel sculptures) get together to exhibit their own versions of artistic metal.
Pat has been an exhibiting artist at First Street Gallery for 9 years. Always fascinated with jewelry, she began her career designing and creating beaded jewelry. Her passion for silver smithing began 4 years ago. Working with silver has allowed her creativity to blossom while developing “one of a kind” jewelry pieces. Attending workshops and seminars whenever possible enables Pat to learn the latest techniques in designing her jewelry. Recently she has incorporated polymer clay into her fabulously imaginative creations as well as cutting gem stones to use in silver inlay pieces.
Born and raised in coastal Georgia, Tyler is a third generation heir to a family run machine shop. Beginning his artistic career over 13 years ago as a self-taught sculptor, he has enjoyed finding new ways to create a graceful expression of our maritime environment from a rough raw piece of metal. Tyler’s metal sculpture creations range from small sea turtle hatchlings to large custom installations always inspired by the beauty of coastal scenery and marine life. While he continues to work at his family’s machine shop, every year the art influence becomes stronger and stronger along with the respect and hope for preservation of our coastal eco-system.
