During the Holiday season, First Street Gallery displays a fine array of gifts created by artisans and thousands of handmade ornaments sure to delight everyone on your shopping list.

First Street Gallery working artist Melinda Bradshaw new works include “Sailfin Tangs”. It is part of a series of tropical fish created by the artist. Bradshaw begins with her own original photographs. Working in Photoshop, she often combines many photographs, creating her own backgrounds and textures, layers them using different filters and processes until she reaches her finished digital painting. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts at Florida State University, Bradshaw has an artistic background spanning the last 40 years. She is retired from over 25 years as a graphic designer, the majority of her years spent in hospital public relations and marketing, with the balance working for local newspapers.

North Beaches Artwalk is a free event held the third Thursday of each month from 5 to 9 pm. Featuring many local visual artists and live performers. Artwalk is held at the Atlantic Beach & Neptune Beach Town Centers.  Also at Adele Grage Cultural Center with a different featured artist every month. With over 55 participating artists, Artwalk is a diverse art destination & shopping experience for the entire family. Local venues set the backdrop for this great monthly destination and community gathering.

Randy Pitts graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of South Florida in 1982 with a concentration in drawing and printmaking. Having a career in the commercial arts, it wasn't until 2001 that Randy began painting. Since 2001, Randy has become devoted to painting the landscape on location and the challenges of capturing the light, form and shape it provides. He has continued his education by attending numerous workshops, including Scott Christensen's intensive ten-day workshop in 2008. Currently, Randy exhibits in many local and regional shows. He is represented in Jacksonville by Corse Gallery & Atelier. He has earned several first place awards in the Jacksonville Coalition for the Visual Arts juried exhibitions and has also earned an Award of Excellence in the 2012 Art of the Trees juried exhibition of which 70 artists from the region participated. His artwork was also chosen by "Southwest Art" Magazine to promote the Art of the Trees in their "Beyond the West" section highlighting upcoming events. His artwork has also been featured on the cover and inside "Arbus" magazine, Jacksonville's local Arts publication.
